Biography

Angela Davis received her formal education in Munich, Germany, studying Art at the Akademie der Bildenden Kunste and Architecture at the Technische Universitat in Munich.

After moving to the United States in 1969, Angela studied Photography at UCLA and Figurative Sculpture for eight years at the Venice Art School under the direction of Martine Vaugel, Founder of the Venice Art School and former Director of the New York Art Academy. Angela also studied Stone Carving with Mike Hosch, and Bronze Casting and Mold Making at the Otis Art institute with Don Gayle, now Vice President of the National Sculpture Society.

Continuing her art education, Angela has attended many sculpture workshops and is proficient in working in a variety of media, including clay, stone and metal.

Angela's teaching experiences include private lessons in Portrait Sculpture, as well as assisting Martine Vaugel at the Venice Art School and, for the last four years, at her seminars at the Ateliers D' Art internationaux in Les Cerquex Sous Passavant. These popular seminars are attended by international sculpture students and professionals alike. Angela is presently teaching sculpture at the Robert Cunningham studio..

Over the years, Angela has exhibited in numerous juried art shows, with her most recent exhibitions being at the Loveland Sculpture invitational in Colorado and the Beverly Hills Art Show In Beverly Hills. Angela receives numerous private commissions, and her work can be found in private collections throughout the United States and Europe.
